Who we are
UV Society is working with CAP4SCHOOL (Computer Awareness Program for schools) activity. Under which we have some schools involved in our project. To engage the todays smart generation in reading and disengaging them from digital world we have initiated the Campaign 'Raise to Read'. We are expecting 250 books in english, hindi and marathi for school students.
Our work and its impact
UV Society is working in rural Vidarbha with focus on education, poverty alleviation and rural development. We have 'Computer Awareness Program for schools' activity under which rural students are taking the benefits of low cost computer learning.
How we will utilise these books
Under our activity thousands of school students have taken the benefits of learning technology in schools. Few students from Washim had won the National Level Championship in 'Microsoft Office Specialist' competition at Delhi. Also we had projects in collaboration with iEARN under which students get platform to get international platform to demonstrate their skill and abilities. Rural students are not gettiing chance to read the books apart from their sylabus. We are planning to setup new library and provide these students a chance to read books and maintain the reading habit. This will help them to disengage from the smary world.
