Who we are
UNNATI began in 2021 in Kalaburagi during the COVID-19 pandemic as a simple giveaway initiative led by a group of generous and like-minded individuals. What started as a one-time act of kindness soon grew into a sustained commitment to uplifting society. In 2024, UNNATI became a registered Trust, enabling us to expand our work to include women's empowerment programmes, meal distribution drives, blanket distribution, educational kits, and hygiene kits for underprivileged communities.
Our Mission: Unnati Trust empowers lives through education, compassion, and care. We support underprivileged communities through education, food, clothing, and life-skills training while promoting women's hygiene and mental well-being to build a positive and thriving society.
Our Vision:To create communities where good health, hygiene, and education are accessible to all, ensuring a brighter and safer tomorrow.
Our work and its impact
Our journey began with Future-Ready Skills training programmes for underprivileged students, focusing on confidence building, effective study skills, communication, and career awareness. To date, we have conducted over 50 programmes, benefiting more than 2,500 students.
Our initiatives include:
-
-Women Empowerment programs for underprivileged women
-Meal distribution for communities in need
-Blanket distribution drives that provide warmth and protection to vulnerable families.
-Distribution of educational kits containing essential learning materials for school children.
-Hygiene kit distribution to promote women's health, hygiene, and dignity.
Through these initiatives, UNNATI Trust continues to improve educational opportunities, promote well-being, and strengthen communities by addressing their most pressing needs with compassion and care.
How we will utilise these books
The procured books will be used to establish a library serving around 100 children from Classes 1 to 5. The library will become a dedicated reading space where children will be encouraged to read one book at a time as part of their daily routine. Reading engaging stories in simple English will help them strengthen their vocabulary, improve reading comprehension, and develop a better understanding of the language.
These books will nurture a love for reading while enhancing children's imagination, communication skills, and confidence to speak English without fear. By giving children access to age-appropriate storybooks beyond their textbooks, the library will open up new opportunities for creativity, and lifelong reading habits.
