Who we are
We are an educational organisation named Umang. We teach primary schools students in two villages in Siyana, Uttar Pradesh. We are a team of six members working to improve the quality of education provided to underprivileged students.
Our work and its impact
We provide primary education to underprivileged students from low-income families at our learning centre. We arrange sports and fun activities to make school more fun for the children. We also use learning aids like videos and storytelling. We advocate for female literacy in rural areas and encourage parents to send their daughters to school.
How we will utilise these books
The funds from our campaign will be used to set up a library in the Montessori school. We will also distribute the books among the children and help them develop a reading habit. A special library period dedicated to reading will be fixed along with storytelling sessions.
