Who we are
The UCatapult Foundation is spearheading change in rural education in India through our Digital Machaan initiative, designed for students in grades 6 to 12. This program not only enhances educational opportunities but also provides MTSE Scholarship recipients with the chance to further their studies. Unique in our approach, we are committed to facilitating the entire education-to-employment journey by offering targeted scholarships and internships.
Our initiatives are strengthened by collaborations with local communities. These partnerships have been key to tailoring our digital educational offerings and overcoming both geographic and financial barriers. Through this integrated approach, we are setting new benchmarks in making education more inclusive and accessible for students in rural India.
Our work and its impact
The UCatapult Foundation significantly influences societal development through a two-phase approach. Initially, we strengthen rural communities by enhancing the skill sets of headmasters and teachers, thereby ensuring the delivery of high-quality education. A particular focus is placed on fostering STEM literacy among young students to build a solid educational foundation.
In the subsequent phase, we extend educational opportunities to students in grades 6-8, specifically targeting those who have performed exceptionally well on our aptitude tests or have been recipients of MTSE scholarships. This initiative not only paves the way for higher education but also provides hands-on experience through internships.
Collectively, our endeavours work to eliminate educational inequities in rural regions, thereby empowering students for brighter futures and contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of rural India. We serve as the vital link that bridges the gap from the "Hinterland to Harvard."
How we will utilise these books
Pratham Books storybooks will be provided through the funds raised from this campaign. They will be instrumental in augmenting digital literacy and STEM education within our Digital Machaan program, particularly in our partner schools located in the Dharangaon Block of Jalgaon District, Maharashtra. These educational materials will be thoughtfully integrated into our existing curriculum, making STEM concepts more approachable and stimulating for students. The resources are closely aligned with the Ministry of Education's Nipun Bharat initiative, thereby complementing our ongoing efforts to achieve its goals.
In addition, we place great emphasis on the role of headmasters and teachers in the educational landscape. These books will feature prominently in our training sessions for headmasters, enriching their comprehension of the critical role that STEM literacy plays in education. School teachers will also incorporate these books into their daily instructional activities, enabling more structured learning and facilitating assessment
