Who we are
We are a government high school located in Kundapura, Karnataka. 610 students from classes 8th to 10th are enrolled in 12 divisions. We aim to set up a library in every classroom.
Our work and its impact
Our school is located in a hilly region in the Western Ghats and is the only government high school in a radius of 15 kilometres. Many students who attend the school are from underprivileged communities who do not have access to storybooks in mother tongue languages.
How we will utilise these books
We believe storybooks provide windows to the world and help expand horizons. With the funds raised from the campaign, we will procure multilingual storybooks from Pratham Books for the libraries. Students will read the books during library hours and be able to improve their reading, writing, linguistic, and cognitive skills.
