How we will utilise these books

I am a fellow in Teach for India , leading 50 inquisitive young minds of Grade 6 in a low income private school. I have been trying my best by supporting my students inside as well as outside the classroom , help them in being strong individuals who have the capability of not only being critical thinkers but also be empathetic towards their surroundings. My purpose of being here is simply to be able to create small ripples in the this ocean where kids are struggling to get what they deserve , everyday I try to expose them to the various possibilities that are out there for them and how each and everyone of them has the capacity of doing what they want to in their life at the same time having the conscience of giving back to the society in what ever way possible. Reading has always felt like a doorway to a different world altogether and the books raised through this platform will give them the opportunity to do that. The idea is that not only my class but also the the primary grade students of our school will be able to explore the different worlds. This program will help in encouraging the idea of reading book and help students in learning more than just the school content. This will also promote reading of book in their vernacular language and value that language as well. Our aim is to raise as many book as possible , because no number is enough when it comes to books.
