A reading campaign designed to enhance reading proficiency among grade 3rd and 4th students and building a culture of community reading.
Our work and its impact
Kaivalya Education Foundation is a social change organisation, established in year 2008 with an objective of improving life chances of 1 million students going to government school. The head office of the organisation is based at Mumbai and have 5 regional offices. At Sanand, Ahmedabad, the organisation initiated 'School Leadership Development Program' to improve learning outcomes of more than 5000 students.
How we will utilise these books
Kaivalya Education Foundation aims at holistic development of school going children. It make learning interesting through games, activites, and stories. Library books will be used to enhance reading in young children in both school and community. A mass reading campaign will be organised covering multiple stakeholders. Kaivalya Education Foundation will establish 10 - 15 school libraries and train teachers and headmasters to integrate lesson plan with library activities. Reading campaigns will be organised in schools and libraries and community members will be sensitised about importance of reading.
