Who we are
Saplings Library Project started with the objective of planting mini-libraries at underserved localities across the North East Region of India. We aim to democratize learning and nurture reading culture, thereby contributing to the empowerment of local communities. SLP believes in the spirit of community development and of giving back to society. The project seeks to actively involve readers who wants to spread the joy of reading.
Our work and its impact
The Saplings Library Project is dedicated to planting mini-libraries in underserved localities, focusing on the North East Region of India. Our primary objectives are to make learning accessible, foster a reading culture, and empower communities. By doing so, we aim to uplift local communities and encourage holistic development.The Saplings Library Project aims to bring light and learning into the lives of children affected by conflict in Manipur’s tribal areas. By providing access to books, we’re not just building a library; we’re creating a sanctuary of hope, imagination, and growth.

The books from Pratham Books raised through this campaign will serve as tools for joy of reading, healing, and empowerment in the following ways:By making books accessible and purposeful, the Saplings Library Project will nurture a generation of readers, thinkers, and future leaders.
--Establishing Community Libraries: Small mini libraries will reach remote villages, ensuring every child has access to the joy of reading.
--Interactive Learning Sessions: Regular storytelling sessions will encourage creativity, build language skills, and foster a love for reading.
--Healing Through Stories: Books with themes of hope, courage, and empathy will help children navigate challenging emotional experiences.
