Who we are
Sankalp Education Society, also known as Sankalp, is a Nagpur-based NGO founded by a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to ensuring equal career and livelihood opportunities for underprivileged youth. Our mission is to provide high-quality yet affordable skill development programs to empower young individuals from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
We strive to offer employability enhancement programs that are both relevant and impactful, ensuring that no student is left behind due to financial or social constraints. Our goal is to equip youth with the skills necessary to meet the challenges of an evolving socio-economic landscape.
Since our inception, Sankalp has reached over 10,000 students in just four years, making a tangible difference in their lives.
Our work and its impact
We work with children from socially and economically marginalized communities. These children live in slums and face daily hardships. Through our Zola Library Free Project, we provide children in the Wadi slum areas with access to storybooks and self-help books, along with mentoring support whenever needed.
This initiative is designed not only to foster a love for reading but also to give these children a sense of belonging and hope. Books can be a powerful medium for emotional support, learning, and inspiration—helping children realize they are not alone in their journey.
How we will utilise these books
With the funds raised through this campaign, we will distribute Pratham Books storybooks to children in our communities. The books will be incorporated into our Mukta Children Library, a free community library for children. Our dedicated volunteers, who are actively engaged in these slum areas, will manage the library stock and issue registers to ensure that books are regularly circulated and reach as many children as possible.
