Who we are
I am a research student working on wildlife conservation and with Naga communities living on the Myanmar border. This campaign is a personal interest to educate children from these areas where there is limited accessibility to roads and communication. Through this campaign, I believe it will give the children a platform to open their creativity and interest in learning through reading books.
Our work and its impact
I am a research scholar from Nagaland, working with the local people living in the Indo-Myanmar border area and the Intangki National Park. I am passionate about children’s nature and education in the tribal community. There is much to learn from the indigenous ways of preserving and protecting nature and the children are the legacy to protect nature.
How we will utilise these books
Books received from this campaign will be distributed to 5 villages. These books will be a part of the library at schools where the children can read during free time and in the village morung, a traditional learning space, where the children can access the books after class hours.
