Who we are
SEVAI Matriculation School is set in a remote rural area of Tamilnadu and educates 2000 children from KG to 12th standard. Over the years, it has become the best English medium school of the area. It caters exclusively to children from below poverty line family: mainly Dalits and tribal students from illiterate parents. Our requirement is to setup a small classroom libraries for 4 classes and books for the common library addressing 500 children from KG to Grade 12.
Our work and its impact
SEVAI is a non-profit organization aiming at rural development to avoid economic migration for the very poor and to give education to their children so that the new generation can access to proper job.
How we will utilise these books
School started in a village with 25 children and now 20 years later it has now become the most recognized school of the area, thanks to many founders, donors and well-wishers. The school has been very oriented towards academic results but it's time now to offer books for pleasure of reading and pleasure to search for information. Funds will be used for the purchase of 4 Library in the Classroom kits and 300 additional books in English & Tamil for the common library.
