Who we are
We are Gandhi fellows working in 248 Government schools in one of India's Aspirational districts, Gadchiroli.The children belong to the Gond tribes and we want to make a difference in their lives through the magic of books.We have a dream to see English story books in the hands of these tribal children.Join us in making our dream a reality and donate a book to kindle the spirit of reading among these tribal children.
Our work and its impact
We are Gandhi fellows,a part of Kaivalya Education foundation working in one of India's Aspirational districts,Gadchiroli.We are a group of young leaders who have come together with a foresight and courage to improve the quality of education in our country and creating a large scale impact at the grassroot level.
How we will utilise these books
Gandhi fellowship is a two year residential program spanning across various states in India with an aim of creating social change leaders touching a million lives. We are presently working in the tribal area of Gadchiroli for the District Transformation Program which aims to transform the district education system by building capacities of education leaders and supporting them though technology and on-site school support We aim at instilling a reading habit for the tribal children of Gadchiroli which will help them develop their imagination,know about the world around them and most importantly help them achieve better at school.With this goal in mind,we wish to begin with 24 schools of Aheri block. Join us in our mission and help us fund fun-filled story books for the tribal children of Gadchiroli
