Who we are
Readers Regale is a library in Kaiga township, Karnataka. This library focuses on the overall development of people, especially children. This library arranges many skill development programmes.
Our work and its impact
I am a member of the library and apart from issuing storybooks, we try to arrange many skill development programmes. We have arranged classes for tailoring, making cloth handbags, saree tassels for women, English grammar and cartoon making classes for children, and computer assembly and maintenance classes as well. We have also opened 13 libraries in three nearby schools.
How we will utilise these books
The funds from our campaign will be used to get storybooks from Pratham Books for our libraries. Children can either read the books in the library or issue them to read at their leisure. The library will impact 1000 children and encourage them to visit the library more often to grow into lifelong readers.
