Who we are
Readers Regale is a small multilingual library in Mallapur village, Karnataka, trying to inculcate a reading habit in children and improving their understanding of various subjects. We are building a diverse collection of storybooks for children aged 3-18 years. Biographies, picture books and novels, books that develop a positive attitude, teaches children to take responsibility, work as a team, time management, financial management, personality development etc, are needed.
Our work and its impact
Apart from issuing storybooks, we arrange many skill development programmes. We have arranged classes for tailoring, making cloth handbags, saree tassels for women, English grammar and cartoon making classes for children, and computer assembly and maintenance classes as well. We have built 13 libraries in schools in villages to date.
How we will utilise these books
The funds from our crowdfunding campaign will be used to get multilingual children’s storybooks from Pratham Books for our library. Children will be allowed to read the books and borrow them regularly. Over 1400 children will get access to these delightful books.
