How we will utilise these books

We teach English, Mathematics, Science and Social to 75 grade 6 students. We see students struggling to read and comprehend their textbooks, as their reading levels are not at grade levels. We've observed that their academic performance can be correlated to their reading levels. We thus want our children to read more and we need grade-level books for them to help with their Reading Comprehension. We believe that Reading comprehension will help improve student investment and independent learning. We work with multiple stakeholders to ensure the best for our children. We do community visits every week to understand the context of every child and regularly hold parents-teachers meeting to set expectations with the parents, share success stories and exchange feedback. We collaborate with external NGOs to create avenues for children to engage in arts, sports and leadership development. We are planning to set up a library in our classrooms to build the culture of reading and improve reading levels of ALL students.
