Who we are
Books are a uniquely portable magic. —Stephen King , Teeny-Tiny kids of Standard 2,3 and 4, from low income background, studying in Government schools of Surat are in need of some pretty and eye catching books, so as to fully discover the magic of Reading. Their school library seriously lacks Child friendly books. Please Please help them in having the portal of knowledge and magic by making your contribution ( Your Every single penny is precious for them ).
Our work and its impact
I am Gandhi fellow working in Government schools of Kamrej Block, in Surat district. My work is to improve the quality of education in the government schools where kids comes from really poor Income background. With the collected fund "Pratham Books" will be helping me in getting appropriate books for these kids.
How we will utilise these books
We focus on improving school processes, school practices, teaching methodology and also community-School relationship in order to build positive, learning environment for children as well as teachers. Currently, with Cluster resource co-ordinator we are trying to develop reading habits among student. Picturesque Story books always attracts children and they want to read it, therefore, it can be used as a medium for improving their reading skills. All the collected fund will be used to buy apt Books from "PRATHAM BOOKS" in Hindi and English.
