Who we are
Maqaam foundation is a Delhi-based nonprofit organisation whose primary goal is to enhance the lives of children in India’s slums by giving them the right to a good education and brighter futures. We also want to raise awareness about people living with disabilities and provide an equal platform for them.
Our work and its impact
We conduct workshops every Sunday in various slums for children. Their parents also join us and we discuss their children’s education and future. And now I can see their parents encouraging their children to join our workshop, and we see that many children's skills are improving and that they are all very talented.
How we will utilise these books
Children living in slum areas lack a safe environment to develop a reading habit and study, and with the funds from this campaign, we will establish community libraries. Every child will be welcome to visit the libraries. There will be delightful storybooks from Pratham Books and a teacher, along with quality study materials. Your support will help make a big difference in the lives of these children.
