How we will utilise these books

It is said that ‘You become what you READ’. We believe in power of books which has tremendous strength in bringing positive change in young readers mind. When interesting, colourful books are easily accessible & available to students, they will surely pick one and scroll through it…. Aggravating their curiosity with colourful books and making these books easily available will surely help in cultivating reading habit… We work with schools in rural/tribal areas where children don’t have access to storybooks. Most of times these are 1st generation school going kids. Also these rural schools don’t have infrastructure for Library. In order to address this issue, we have designed a Library bag which can hold 50-75 books and can be hanged on any classroom wall. The storybooks in each bag are selected keeping in mind readers age group and language. Teachers are requested to maintain book to record students activity with books. This facility help school students in keeping pace with outside world. Till date we have reached to more than 25 schools and distributed more than 4000 books which has benefitted almost 4000 kids from wada,palghar,bhivandi,Igatpuri ZP schools. Metta Foundation aims to reach more 25 schools from rural/tribal area in dahanu/wada/jawhar. Collected fund shall be entirely utilized for purchasing new story books. Foundation takes care of making Library bags and all logistics.
