Who we are
With good and beautiful books, children are attracted to education and can improve the reading habit in tribal students
Our work and its impact
I am a Gandhi Fellow working in Government schools of Udaipur. These schools are located in tribal regions and are inaccessible.
How we will utilise these books
I work towards increasing the Student Learning Outcome in the Government schools of Udaipur. I am currently working to impact the lives of more than 1000 Bhil tribe students who are first-generation school-goers in their family, meaning they are the first people in their family to go to any form of school. Currently, I am building a library of around 600 books so that the children get exposure to new books. These books will help start a conversation in the schools and their family. I aim to start a library in the school where the children will be exposed to a reading friendly environment, in which regular discussions will be held. This will help these students to gain confidence and also encourage them to regularly attend schools.
