"A book is a dream that you hold in your hand" -Neil Gaiman "A child who reads will be an adult who thinks" -Author Unknown Aviratha Trust wishes to inculcate the habit of reading books among children. What better way than to install a Pratham's Library Kit in every class room in the schools that Aviratha conducts Note Book Drive. We plan to visit about 130 rural Govt schools across Karnataka this academic year. Please join hands with Team Aviratha to gift a dream to Govt School students across Rural Karnataka.
Our work and its impact
AVIRATHA meaning ‘INCESSANT’ in Kannada; is a multifaceted ‘Non-Governmental Organization’ engaged in activities of human development. A cohort of well-meaning professionals, from diverse professional backgrounds committed to equitable development of India – make AVIRATHA. This diversity has brought AVIRATHA to carve a niche around broad spectrum of areas.
How we will utilise these books
AVIRATHA’s core platforms of activity have been Primary Education Primary health Promotion of Kannada and Literature Promotion of performing arts Civil Society campaigns Not limiting to the above, AVIRATHA has also indulged in activities of environment protection, policy advocacy and humanitarian action. Based out of Bangalore, AVIRATHA works mostly in socio-economically backward districts of Karnataka. About 130 schools will be part of Aviratha's Note Book Drive this academic year 2016. We wish to distribute the Library In a Classroom kit to as many schools as possible.
