Who we are
We are working with some organizations in Nagpur to create more accessible and joyful learning spaces for out of the school children. One of the major thing that limits these kids is lack of enough quality reading content in their own lanaguge and easily accessible. So we are in process to build a library which can be accessed by any organization that is working with such children. So every time we need books, we would not have to go Pune-Mumbai, or just feel lost.
Our work and its impact
We are a group of 6 learning companions and other supporters and advisors. We are mainly involved in studying different approaches used in different learning spaces around the world, testing those ideas in our own spaces and capacity building of organizations and apsiring teachers/facilititators.
How we will utilise these books
We are documenting and organizing the different ideas and activities used by different organizations to make learning process more engaging, easy and fun. It will lead to the development of a online repository of well tested and studied learning/teaching ideas which will be accessible to anyone over the net. Plus some well designed and tested learning/training modules for aspiring teachers/facilitators which will help the organizations in this field to make their human resource more efficient and productive. This will add a set of books offered by Pratham to our library. This library at present will be used by our fellows we are teaching at learning centres in some slums and footpaths in Nagpur. Later on the library will be accessible to any organization that is working for similar causes.
