Who we are
We are an organization working for the betterment of the underprivileged kids of our society and strongly believe that their lives are nothing less than a fairy tale. We have started this project with the aim of providing an opportunity for all these kids to dream big by reading inspiring books which teach them life changing lessons. The funds raised will be used to distribute books amongst street children and AIDS affected children in Mumbai, Orphanages and government school children in Hyderabad.
Our work and its impact
Lakshitha is an NGO which works with the underprivileged children of our society by supporting the education of 13 children and conducting other co curricular activities for these kids for their overall development.
How we will utilise these books
Lakshitha is associated with various orphanages/ government schools/ cancer hospitals in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai. We conduct fun/memory games, educational trips to zoos and planetariums, provide education to 13 children, movie screenings for these kids to develop their personality and have a normal childhood. The books will be distributed amongst 100 kids in the orphanages/ government schools that our organization is working with in Mumbai and Hyderabad. The books will be in basic English and local languages to help them understand better.
