Who we are
Jan Briddhi Foundation, is a dedicated non-profit organization working across key verticals including Education, Environment, Crisis Management, and Health.
Our mission is rooted in four key pillars:
- Quality Education
- Nurturing Talent
- Community Development
- Cultivating Hope
Our work and its impact
We are committed to providing quality education to underprivileged children, laying a strong foundation for their future. Our environmental initiatives promote a sustainable and green future through extensive tree plantation drives and awareness campaigns.
The foundation actively engages in crisis management, offering timely support and relief during emergencies. We also promote holistic well-being by conducting health awareness and hygiene programs that benefit both students and the wider community.
Through our book distribution initiative, supported by Pratham Books, we have successfully distributed books to children in 11 brick factories across the Barpeta and Bajali districts, impacting the lives of over 2,000 children and fostering a culture of reading in marginalized communities.
Additionally, our flood relief camp, organized in collaboration with Mariwala Health Initiative, supported 100 affected households. On Environment Day each year, the foundation plants around 500 trees along national highways, riversides, and riverine areas. We also extend healthcare support to elderly beneficiaries through free health check-up camps, conducted in collaboration with the District Health Society.
How we will utilise these books
Through this fundraiser, we aim to bring the joy of reading to 1,000 children living in six Residential Schools and Training Centres across Barpeta and Bajali districts in Assam. These centres cater to children from below-poverty-line and underprivileged communities and currently suffer from a severe lack of educational resources and study materials. With minimal government support, these schools struggle to provide a nurturing learning environment. To address this gap, Jan Briddhi Foundation is setting up libraries within each of these centres. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to procure children’s storybooks from Pratham Books which will form the core collection of these library centres.
