How we will utilise these books

At Pratham Books, we believe that every child has the right to enjoy good books. And we believe they should have stories set in surroundings familiar to them and in a language close to their culture. We believe that to make books accessible to every child, the price points have to be very low. Pratham Books is a brand of storybooks as Indian as the children who read them. As a not-for-profit publisher, our dream is to see a country where every child wants to read, is able to read, and has something good to read. From publishing good quality and highly contextualized stories to be read and enjoyed by children, we consistently reach out to children through our various partner organizations. We distributed over 14 million books to our young readers with the help of various organizations across the country to date. Our aim is to have something good for every child, in every part of the country, and in the process spread the joy of reading far and wide. Pratham Books will identify not-for-profit organisations and low-income/Government schools across India. After a proper screening of the work they do, Pratham Books will give away a Financial series set to the organization (or multiple - depending on the size of the organization). Each set contains 4 books and 1 set costs Rs.200. While the aim of each book is to inform and educate, the idea is also to nurture the innate sense of wonder in children and in turn, encourage them to explore further. Through these information books, we attempt to inspire curiosity in children about financial literacy and help them engage with it in fun and memorable ways.
