Currently, our work is concentrated in Srimushnam, a backward district in Cuddalore classified as a multi-hazard prone area. Here, we support a government primary school to enhance the quality of education for children. Additionally, we run a life skills centre that equips children with various essential skills recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).

How we will utilise these books
Our library in Srimushnam boasts a collection of 120 books, fostering a love of reading among children. They regularly delve into these stories, then share their experiences and write book reviews to reflect on their learnings, with guidance from IDEAL Trust. We believe that books and stories empower rural children to live their best lives.
In addition to our collection, we incorporate stories by Pratham Books on the Story Weaver website, offering a total of 470 engaging options for children. We encourage them to borrow books and track their reading progress, recording the number of books read and other relevant data that helps us analyse reading patterns in rural areas. To further ignite their passion for reading, we conduct regular read-aloud sessions, encouraging deeper reflection and application of the lessons learned in real life.
Your contribution will help us procure joyful books by Pratham Books which will be added to the library helping ignite the passion for reading.
