Who we are
We are providing English Medium Education to 321 rural kids. 60% of them are first generation school goers and there is not a single English Medium school upto one hour's drive. We want to use our library and empower underprivileged tribal kids who otherwise have no access to any library as none exists in the region!
Our work and its impact
Holistic Education Mission is a non profit organisation working among tribals of south Gujarat since 2008.
How we will utilise these books
We run one school, one hostel and also adult literacy classes, computer and basic English classes for youth. In last 10 years we have run 7 successful adult literacy classes and education 900 adults. We also have educated 623 youth in Basic Computer and Basic English. The collected funds will be utilised to buy books for our library and help in our book reading program. We would also like to lend books to other young students from the region and there is no other library apart from ours.
