Who we are
Brickwork Foundation is an NGO that was established in 2007 to improve the standard of education in government schools. Over the years, we have set up libraries, science, computer, and math laboratories in an effort to ensure the standard of education is on par with private schools.
Our work and its impact
Our primary objective is to transform government schools and increase the students’ involvement and interest in academics. We want to help them grow into smart and confident citizens through classes in spoken English, computer technology, and other extracurricular activities that include reading.
How we will utilise these books
The funds from this campaign will be used to fill the libraries in the government schools with multilingual storybooks from Pratham Books. The school will assign a specific period for reading. Under the guidance of the school’s teachers, the students will also be allowed to take books home to read at their convenience. We will also implement reading programmes and activities to track their progress, and thereby improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
