Who we are
Anganwadis are rural care centres for children set up by the government. I am a supervisor for the Anganwadis in Mumbai and we require books to engage the children. And due to lack of funds, we are unable to provide those books to them. Pratham Books are appropriate because of the colourful content and the Indian context.
Our work and its impact
I have worked for 9 years, currently, I am a supervisor for 25 Anganwadis. There are over 1500 wonderful, hopeful and eager to learn children in these schools. I am looking to provide books to all of the Anganwadis and look forward to helping them have a nice learning experience.
How we will utilise these books
This is the first time I am setting up a campaign and I hope to set up small reading corners in each of the Anganwadis I work at. I hope the children learn more and enjoy books when they have access to good books. I will use the funds for books, to create reading spaces and libraries in each of the 25 anganwadis I am working in.
