Who we are
1300 students across Grades 1-10 await books to start running their own lending library system - books that will move into the communities, villages and reach more people - where the magic begins! dreams unfold and imagination brews- we invite you to support us in filling our libraries with books, set in Indian content and at varied levels; supporting every child to read!
Our work and its impact
We believe that “Every child has and ‘can & should’ achieve her potential, irrespective of circumstance”. This is not the work of an individual; it is the work of the ‘collective’ A team of 4 of us, work with 5 schools serving 1300 children from 100 villages in Cuddalore- the schools are set up by ASSEFA Foundation and we are exploring what it means to deliver quality education in rural India.
How we will utilise these books
We nurture ‘excellent schools’ - sustained by stakeholders who are empowered to be the ‘champions our children deserve’ We have a two-fold path; nurturing leadership across 2 generations simultaneously. We create sustainable school-wide leadership practices to deliver excellent education; Spark leadership to create communities that are financially stable, healthy & demonstrate a collective commitment to be the ‘champions their children deserve.’ By working with 2 generations, we are supporting students shape their life path and empower adults to support their children's dreams. Funds will be used to buy books to stock up school library & set up a lending system- so books reach both children from our schools and villages.
