Who we are
This year my students are in 6th grade. They are curious, smart, looking for more learning, dedicated. They have dreams to do something good. But unfortunately these kids are coming from low income backgrounds, all of them are the first generations to go to school from their families. And hence, they do not have lot of necessities, one of them is books. Help them to become proud of themselves, readers!
Our work and its impact
I am Pallavi, TeachForIndia Ahmedabad fellow. I am working with 5th and 8th grade kids in nobal nagar community.
How we will utilise these books
I am a mentor, a guide, a support, a motivator to the kids. I am also working on to support school in whatever way possible. My goal while working in TFI is to help these kids achieve their dreams, see the possibility, make the impossible possible. We are aiming to setup a sustainable library in the school, which will help kids to get required access and exposure. Also, will inculcate the habit of independent learners and self sustainable.
