Know more about us
Who we are
We are a group of 450 students studying in 3 government primary schools in Old city, Hyderabad. We require books for our classroom library because we want to read interesting and captivating stories in our preferred language. Help us become readers for life and give us a better future.
Our work and its impact
We are students from the Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad interning with the Aga Khan Foundation, Hyderabad for the summer. The Aga Khan Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation in 30 countries around world working to improve the quality of education in low income and marginalised communities.
How we will utilise these books
The Aga Khan Foundation's mission is to bring together human, financial and technical resources to address challenges faced by communities in Hyderabad. This includes challenges such as lack of teaching materials, sports equipment and staff. This initiative goes into the betterment of the teaching materials in low income government schools and overall the betterment of the learners lives. The Aga Khan Foundation aims to donate books to 3 government primary schools by the end of this month. The collected funds will be utilized for books in English, Urdu, and Telugu. We want to continue our efforts by funding books in anganwadis or government funded pre-schools.
