In this "Program of Lokjagruti", we will use this fund to get books to help children of Vaijapur Taluka have equal chance of learning and growing
Our work and its impact
Lokjagruti Public Library was established in the year 2005 under the visionary leadership of late Mr. K. M Salunke and since then Lokjagruti Public Library has done a phenomenal work in raising the awareness about education and library in the remote parts of Vaijapur Taluka. Our goal is to improve their reading skills and ignite a love for books, that is beyond their classroom. We are in desperate need for children's books for the library. The children especially desire English books at various reading levels.
How we will utilise these books
Lokjagruti Library started its operation in the year 2005 and has reached to more than 5000 individuals since its inception. We have arranged Reading Competition, Drawing Competition, Speech Competition for school going kids and Literacy classes for women in Village area. Rallies, Essay Writing competition, Red Ribbon Express visits were organized for youths We have also partnered with Tulsi Eye Hospital, Nashik and provided free Eye Checkup and free operation of Cataract Removal for Senior Citizens. We are in desperate need for children's books for the library. The children especially desire English books at various reading levels. So the funds raised through this campaign would be utilized for the purchase of these books.
