Who we are
Dr. Kalam Library” was initiated on Dr. Kalam’s 85th birthday on October 15th 2015. As a tribute, we are setting up color themed Libraries in Corporation, Government & Tribal schools, inCoimbatore District . And also activating the library with activities that would engage children.
Our work and its impact
We, The Arc Foundation India (NGO) is a Not for profit Organization working towards the benefit of Society especially in the vertical of Health and Empowerment of Underprivileged. We have been successfully working since the period of its establishment of 2years and also along with District Administration and Coimbatore Corporation for various other initiatives like Dr. Kalam Library, Swachh Coimbatore, Dengue Awareness, Swachh Bharat SwachhVidhyalaya, Election Duty, Medical aid and Surgeries support for the underprivileged, one adopted tribal school at Kallar “Sri Sadhguru Adhivasi Palli “etc.
How we will utilise these books
The Arc Foundation India has its one major initiative " Dr Kalam Library" as a tribute to Dr Apj Abdul Kalam ,we are setting up 100 libraries at Corporation and Government Schools accross Coimbatore and shortly expanding to other states of India . And this is going to impact more than 30,000 Underprivileged Children in Coimbatore District. The Arc Foundation India shall use the funds in procuring and buying books for these 6 schools.
