Who we are
Down to Earth engages with children and young people from economically underprivileged backgrounds in South Mumbai, with the aim of ‘catalysing constructive change’. We are a non-profit organisation that has education, sports and art programmes. Founded in 2007, Down to Earth’s reach has increased by 70% over the past decade, changing the lives of many with a values-based curriculum and family-centred approach. The organisation focuses on the three Cs: Courage and Character, the basis of the programme, which will lead to a meaningful Career.
Our work and its impact
The organisation aims to develop and strengthen the English skills of children in a creative, application-based way. With this in mind, it is essential that it builds a collection of age-appropriate storybooks.
How we will utilise these books
The funds from our campaign will be used to get delightful storybooks for children from Pratham Books. The books will be read by the students of Down to Earth to improve their language and communication skills, and widen their horizons to positively impact their future.
