Who we are
As seen in in ASER report released in 2019 only 8.1% of children in standard III can perform simple subtraction. Since, sambhar salt lake area is home to large population of SC, ST & OBC communities who are oppressed and marginalized, the situation is even worse with less than 5% children in class III being able to perform simple arithmetic. Girl child drop rate in the region is also as high as 30% with child marriage being the leading cause. The project is developing the relevant literacy, numeracy, cognitive and socio-emotional skills through books in the children.
