Who we are
rZamba is a registered charitable trust with the vision of supporting communities and government schools in Kargil, Ladakh and providing quality, inclusive and equitable learning opportunities to children since 2017. Forging strong collaborations with the communities and schools form the foundations of our interventions.
Our work and its impact
Sub-programmes: 1. Community and parents educational leadership programme. 2. Youth learning facilitator development programme. 3. Project-based learning approach in classroom pedagogy. 4. rZamba young readers programme (developing library spaces in primary and middle schools). 5. Teacher professional development programme.
How we will utilise these books
This Daan Utsav, help us raise funds to add colourful storybooks to the library spaces in Kargil’s remote villages. Daan Utsav or, the Joy of Giving Week is celebrated every year in India from October 2nd to 8th and is India’s biggest festival of giving during which people from all over the country join hands to perform acts of kindness. We will provide a diverse collection to explore not just for the children, but the teachers and community members as well. The teachers and rZamba facilitators will also find them resourceful while conducting library-centric activities and help make their subject classes more engaging.
