Who we are
I want to set up a library in a low income girls school in Ahmedabad. I want to expose them to lot of books and style of writings so that they become excellent readers and writers.
Our work and its impact
I am doing my two years fellowship with Teach for India. Currently I am in the Ahmedabad team of Teach for India. I am currently working with a low income girls school here. The students here calls me didi. I have promised those girls to set up a library for them.
How we will utilise these books
I want to bring out reading habit among my girls by providing access to large variety of books. Most of my girls are first generation learners The vision of Teach for India is "One day all child will attend excellent education". We as a fellow in Teach for India is working with different low income/government schools to achieve this mission and bridge the current education gap. To di this I want to set-up an library in my school. All the funds collected will be used to buy Pratham books.
