Who we are

Creating Futures is a non-profit organisation based in Bengaluru that empowers children, youth, and women through education, health, and livelihood programs. Our mission is to create inclusive, safe, and inspiring spaces where individuals from underserved communities can learn, grow, and thrive.

We believe that education is the foundation of transformation — when a child learns, an entire family and community move forward. Through our community-based learning centres in Cox Town, DJ Halli, and Kannur, we run programs that strengthen both academic and emotional development, ensuring that every learner — regardless of background — has a fair chance at success.

Our work and its impact

Creating Futures implements two key educational programs — the Bridge Program and the Afterschool Program — to support children from low-income and marginalised families.

The Bridge Program helps out-of-school children or those who have fallen behind academically to reintegrate into formal schooling. While, the Afterschool Program supports children who are already enrolled in school but face challenges such as limited parental support, a lack of study space, or language barriers. Together, these programs reach over 290 children annually in Bengaluru’s most vulnerable neighbourhoods. They reduce school dropouts, improve learning outcomes, and strengthen community involvement by engaging parents and local volunteers.

Over the years, we have reached more than 5,000 children and families, improving access to quality education and life skills while promoting self-confidence and resilience. Our approach combines academic support, creative learning, and well-being initiatives that go beyond the classroom.

By helping children learn effectively and dream fearlessly, we break cycles of disadvantage and create ripple effects —empowering families, improving gender equity, and building more resilient, educated communities that can contribute meaningfully to society.

How we will utilise these books

The books donated through this fundraiser will become the heart of new mini-libraries and reading corners in our learning centres with the “Library-in-a-classroom” model of Pratham Books. For many of our children, having access to a library is a small but powerful step toward lifelong reading experience.

Books will be used to support a variety of structured and creative learning activities:

-Storytelling sessions that build language fluency and imagination.
-Silent reading hours to improve concentration and comprehension.
-Group reading and peer sharing to encourage teamwork and empathy.

Your contribution will help us fill our classrooms with stories, colour, and imagination — turning reading into a joyful journey and every child into a confident reader.
