Who we are
We are Mehma and Parveen and we currently teach in an all-girls government school as part of our Teach For India fellowship. We teach a fabulous class of 6th graders, a “Class of Champions” To best serve their needs, we stress on experiential learning, teaching beyond the four walls of the classroom and exposing them to the various possibilities of the world. Please donate, not to a “Non-profit” but to a “For-change” sector, and remember no one ever became poor by giving!
Our work and its impact
We are Teach For India fellows working in a government school. I'm name is Parveen and I'm engineer by profession. I have worked with Institute of Defence Studies and Analysis. My Co-Fellow name is Mehma and she have worked with Deloitte.
How we will utilise these books
With our kids now having reached a level where they can read and comprehend on their own. I am trying to build a culture of happy reading in the class where students have an appetite for reading. With the belief - "A self driven learning will enable the students to take ownership of their own learning." The funds will be used to buy graded English and Hindi library books. Which will enable all the students to read at their reading level. Our kids love reading books, its just we are unable to fill their appetite of new books.
