Who we are
We are CHIRANOOTANA URBAN AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY, a non-profit organization in Ajjampura taluk, Karnataka, India. Committed to positive change, we focus on sustainable agriculture, livelihood enhancement, and environmental awareness to empower rural communities. Established in 2018, our group of social workers collaborates with individual donors, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, and various departments for impactful initiatives in education, health, and overall community development. Managed by individual donors, we also work closely with the departments of horticulture, agriculture, and forest, local hospitals, and gram panchayats to create a meaningful impact on the lives of the underprivileged and vulnerable.
Our work and its impact
2Our programmes involve organising classes for underprivileged students in our district. The evening classes help them improve in their academics and keep up with their peers. With a well-equipped library, we hope to give them better access to high-quality educational resources.
How we will utilise these books
The funds raised from this campaign will be used to fill the library with multilingual STEM books in English and Kannada from Pratham Books. The books are colourfully illustrated, age-appropriate, and break down complex scientific and mathematical concepts in a simple and engaging way that helps them understand the concepts better.
The library is for our evening school students as well as children studying in government schools and anganwadis. Through these books, children can expand their horizons and learn more about the world around them in a fun and meaningful way.
