Who we are
Chintana Ranga Adhyayana Kendra is a non-profit organisation working in the field of theatre for the last forty years in Honnavar, Karnataka. Our passion lies in nurturing young minds through the magic of theatre and storytelling. We have been conducting theatre workshops for children, absolutely free of cost, reaching out especially to those in rural schools. Our reading sessions are a special segment where children dive into the world of books, exploring tales of wonder, lessons of life, and the joy of reading.
Our work and its impact
Through our workshops, we aim to foster a sense of community, teamwork, and empathy among children. Group book reading sessions, in particular, serve as a platform for children to share, discuss, and reflect upon stories, thereby cultivating social living skills.
How we will utilise these books
We are thrilled to incorporate storybooks from Pratham Books into our workshops. These books, rich in content and illustrations, are perfect tools to ignite the imagination of children.
Group book reading sessions will be conducted for children with these books. These sessions will not only improve their reading skills but also encourage discussions, debates, and a deeper understanding of the stories. After our sessions, children will be given a book to take home. This will not only encourage them to read more but also allow them to share the joy of reading with their family and friends.
