Our work and its impact

This is the impact created by our partnering organizations on the field level. At this moment Eklavya is engaging with 21 villages in Khed Taluka, Pune for strengthening the network of community-led activity centers (Moholla Learning Activity Centers-MLAC) for primary government school-going children. We call these centers COVID responsive because members of the communities only hold these centers for children so there is no external agent involved in this process. The field volunteers engage with children around Maths and Marathi through Activity-based pedagogy. Eklavya's role in this process is to support field volunteers in academic planning, providing resources, and to hold continuous dialogue around quality education. Niramay, a non-governmental organization, works for the cause of children’s health across more than 180 slums and construction sites in Pune. Niramay envisions a new generation of change-makers who can make the city healthier and provide an opportunity to the marginalized sections of the society to make a more meaningful contribution to the city they inhabit. By empowering slum children, Niramay endeavors to actively engage them in writing their own futures and transforming their communities.
