Who we are
I am Balasubramanyam K.B, the Dean of Acharya Group of Institutions and a retired professor of chemistry.
The National Rural Education Association (NREA) has been supporting Child Education in India by helping government-aided and unaided schools in Gauribidanur and surrounding villages in Karnataka for 78 years. We also have schools at Manchenahalli.
Our work and its impact
We provide affordable education to government-aided and unaided schools in rural areas. We build classroom libraries in Karnataka to empower Rural Child Education.
Our mission is to contribute to the educational and cultural needs of the community by nurturing institutions that offer affordable, holistic and contemporary education.
How we will utilise these books
We are celebrating Teacher’s Day this year by setting up classroom libraries for our students. The funds from this campaign will be used to set up classroom libraries in two campuses for students of classes 4th to 9th. We are also initiating a reading hour and will allow the students to take the storybooks home with the supervision of their class teachers.
