Who we are
We are raising fund to have the story books for the rural children of the villages with whom we work. For these rural children access of any other book than the course book supplied by the government is a distant dream. These rural children are talented like any other children but due to limited access of things like story books, games etc. they have very little options to expose themselves. We are raising fund so that our children could read the amazing stories, sing the poems and could draw the illustrations printed in the books and could enjoy.
Our work and its impact
Aham Bhumika was established in the year 2007 and it comprises a group of few like minded people who are passionate to bring some remarkable difference in the life of the underprivileged rural children. The members of Aham Bhumika work in government / private sector to support their own family and besides this they have this endeavor of Aham Bhumika which is registered under societies Act.
How we will utilise these books
We work with the rural children in two villages in the outskirts of Bhopal. We impart basic education to the children and besides this we also teach art and craft to the children. We intend to to set up an library in the village so that the children could have the access of books to read , recite and enjoy and also the habit of reading may be inculcated among the rural children. The fund will be utilized to purchase the books for the rural children. We desire to fulfil our long time dream to set up a library in the village where we work. Children will have easy access of books being the setting up of library in their village itself. They can use their free time by spending time in the library. The library will also lend the books to the children for short duration so that after library hours the children could read books at their home as per their convenience.
