Who we are
URMEE NGO is working in the field of elementary education, life-skills, sports and physical health, and literacy since 2014 across the state of Maharashtra. About 5,000 children are beneficiaries of various projects of URMEE. During the COVID-19 pandemic we able to reach children located in remote areas of Pune and Nagar districts with the help of the Library-in-the-Classroom. These libraries helped us to keep children connected with formal education.
Our work and its impact
We promote activity-based, hands-on learning in government schools that URMEE supports through various projects.
How we will utilise these books
Reading is a vital part of our projects. We are initiating activities such as storytelling, drama, and performances based on stories that children read in books. This allows them to hone their imagination and creativity.
