Who we are
We are fellows from Teach for India wherein looking for a class library as it is our first-year intervention of TFI in Bright High School, Koramangala, Bangalore. We teach grades 2 and 3 at the school. We require books for our classroom library. Help us in reaching our dream.
Our work and its impact
Our school primarily caters to kids of low-income groups, striving to fill the void of quality education, learning, and growth in all ways of life at little to no cost. 75 students of grades 2 and 3 are in dire need of books to bridge the gap of learning which otherwise cannot be filled through teaching by teachers alone. Pratham Books gave us the seed of an idea for a public campaign to spread awareness about the work we are doing as well as raise the much-needed resources
How we will utilise these books
We work in a neighborhood and with kids who are generally off the radar in terms of the conventional education system or the attention of the concerned authorities and usual workaround for such localities. We strive hard to make sure these kids aren't lost in the ways of the system they're used to and make sure they not only learn the basic educational requirements but go out with joy, enhanced mindset and confidence to achieve, dream and aspire for everything and anything they wish We intend to use these funds to meet the educational needs of these underfunded yet brilliant despite the pitfalls they face for no fault of theirs. The first and most important step in that regard we plan to do is by starting a class library.
