Who we are
Azad India Foundation is raising funds to establish 20 libraries in Kishanganj government schools.The children require books to improve their reading and learning skills apart from curriculum textbooks. Help us to instill reading habits among young learners for life.
Our work and its impact
Azad India Foundation is working in Kishanganj district of Bihar.We got registered in 2001 and have been working on literacy and education issues.We work in four blocks of Kishanganj,Pothia,Thakurganj and Kochadaman.
How we will utilise these books
Azad India Foundation is working with 3500 children in 73 villages.One of the main objectives of AIF is to inculcate reading habit among the children at a young age by providing access to different books.Through our reading program we wish to build our children's reading and learning capacities and open a whole new beautiful world of books for them. Previously AIF had set up 9 libraries in government schools in Pothia block of Kishanganj.These libraries serve over 1000 children in the age -group of 10-14 years. Azad India Foundation aims to set up libraries in 20 government schools in Kishanganj district by the end of 2018.The collected funds will be utilised for buying books in Hindi,Urdu and English books for the government school children.
