Who we are
Founded in 1998, Azad India Foundation (AIF) is based in Kishanganj, a district of Bihar and was formally registered in 2001.
Our work and its impact
We work closely with minority and vulnerable communities and empower the marginalised sections of society by imparting education, healthcare and life skills.
We work directly with 8000 children (where more than 50% are girls) in 104 villages, improving foundational literacy and numeracy and helping them keep up with the curriculum taught in government schools.
How we will utilise these books
We are crowdfunding children’s storybooks for Daan Utsav, India’s biggest Festival of Giving from Oct 2nd to 8th. The funds will be used to set up libraries in the government primary schools of Thakurganj block of Kishanganj district in Bihar where they will be accessed by the children studying in classes 1st to 5th.
The colourful storybooks from Pratham Books will help the children improve their reading and writing skills and encourage them to dream bigger.
