Who we are
70 13 year old, bright and verbose girls of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Aya Nagar wish to expand the horizons of their knowledge by reading books. Help us become aware and active citizens of the country!
Our work and its impact
I am Ankita Goswami and I am a fellow with Teach for India. I teach 140 students of grade 8 and 9 in a low income government school in Aya Nagar.
How we will utilise these books
I teach 140 students of grade 8 and 9 in a low income government school in Aya Nagar. Through my work I aim to create tolerant, aware and active citizens. I teach SST and English to 8th grade and one of the biggest roadblocks for my kids is vocabulary and imagination. I wish to expose the students to more varieties of books so that they can expand their horizons of knowledge and imagination, which in turn will help them form better arguments and write better, for the future grades and exams
