Who we are

Kaahini is a Children library initiative which focuses on giving children access to books. They are mostly from marginalised communities of Barpeta Town in Assam. Our organisation is dedicated to fostering a love for reading and lifelong learning in children. We offer a diverse collection of books that cater to various interests and reading levels, ensuring all children have access to quality literature. We implement programs and activities that enhance literacy skills, encourage educational development, and support school curricula. Our goal is to ensure the library is a welcoming space where children from all backgrounds feel safe, respected, and included. We host creative workshops, storytelling sessions, and interactive events that stimulate children's imaginations and critical thinking. Additionally, we collaborate with schools, parents, and local organisations to create a strong support network for children's educational and developmental needs.
